This weeks best anime episode was a most tough choice indeed. From the funniest episode of Pop Team Epic yet, to the true power of Dio’s stand the World finally revealed, and the Attack on Titan season finale. I dig Eren’s newly discovered ability to control Titans and can’t wait to see him use it more in season 3. There was also the making of the Great Saiyaman movie on Dragonball Super(not a real movie) and a pretty solid episode of Black Clover this week, finally breaking out of filler territory. Yet my anime episode of the week goes My Hero Academia for a record 3rd time.
I love any form of entertainment that involves heroes and villains, good vs evil, the ying and the yang of it all. And My Hero Academia is a show that just keeps getting better with every episode. This weeks newly aired adult swim show was Episode 12: All Might, and yes as it’s title suggests, we finally get to see All Might in all his butt kicking glory. Albeit in a weakened state when he faces off against Noumu. A villain just as powerful as he, but with 2 quirks. First one is shock absorbtion and the second being regeneration.
All Might goes beyond 100% of his power using Plus Ultra. Pummeling the brute with over 300 targeted punches and sending him flying into space. If it wasn’t for this battle, my episode of the week would have definitely went to the Attack on Titan season 2 ender. But I am thinking what would be even cooler than Eren being able to control Titans that he could just call on All Might to send those large beasts packing.
“Have no fear students, for I am here” is what All Might said as he arrived on the scene in true hero fashion. Deku and the others did help the worlds greatest hero as he first struggled against the hard bodied and equal in strength villain Noumu. Bakugo and Todoroki mainly aided in the fight. When Todoroki froze the big guy, this gave All Might the time he needed to slip out of the void that the warp quirk villain Kurugeri had trapped him in.
At the end of the Noumu vs All Might battle, the villain with the hands on his face who seems to be in charge blurts out the most childish line by saying “you cheated” to All Might. That ended one of the best episodes I have seen thus far of the series. My Hero Academia is my current favorite anime, since Attack on Titan ended and recent episodes of Black Clover and Dragonball Super haven’t been as good lately. Until next time fans, “You may have heard these words before, but now I will teach you what they really mean. Go beyond, PLUUUSSS…UUULLLTTTRRAAAAAAA!”-All Might-
