More specifically Episode 35: The Light of Judgement in which Yami and Asta continue the awesome battle against Licht and Valtos. Yami tells Asta to fight his own way as Asta struggled against Valtos’s spacial magic. So Asta surprising Valtos throws down his swords and jumps right into one of his portals. The Black Bull bursts out of a portal right under the zombie like nose of Valtos as Asta delivers a superhero like punch to his face, sending him flying back into the wall, thus taking him out of the fight.
Meanwhile, Captain Yami using his dark magic to suck in the light magic of Licht with each attack. The duel went back and forth for a bit until Licht was about to reveal his most powerful form of light magic yet to Yami. By the way, I have to say that I’m digging Yami more and more with each episode. His nonchalant until angered personality and being possibly the strongest of all the Clover Kingdom Captains make him one of my favorite characters.
While Licht was charging up his big fancy light attack, Gouche got a boost of magical power thanks to Sister Theresa or as he prefers to call her old hag. Also the one snow magic guy that he beat before lent his power to him as well as the children, even his precious baby sister Marie. With the magic flowing through him now, Gouche with the aid of fellow Black Bull Finral warped right back to the cave amid the light vs dark magic showdown. Just in time too as Yami proclaimed to Asta “And…were dead”, that’s when Gouche appeared.
Using his magic mirror, Gouche reflected Licht’s powerful light spell right back at the leader of the Eye of the Midnight Sun. As Licht lie defeated Gouche said “mirror will always reflect light magic.” This ended the fight, but not the episode. In an undisclosed location, Sally was in a stasis tank healing up as some new faces were talking amongst themselves.
Well it appears that the Clover Kingdom has plenty of enemies, and these guys are only the latest to crop up in a long line of bad guys. Just leave them for Asta, he’ll take care of them. “I’m not done yet.”
