Some pretty cool stuff happened over this past week, as they usually do. On Fire Force, Shinra and his other teammates had to convince a super engineer named Vulcan who hates the Fire Force to join company 8 in the fight against the Evangelist. On Black Clover, Osta and fellow Black Bulls magic knights knocked the Elf right out of Luck, also, Henry transformed the hideout into basically a transformer that resembles a bull. Despite that awesomeness, my anime moment of the week goes to a startling revelation that occurred on Dr. Stone.
On Dr. Stone episode 16, “A Tale for the Ages”, Zenku learns from Ruri about the origin of her village and implying that her and him may be related. More importantly, fans finally get to see Zenku’s father who is an astronaut on a mission. He’s up in space with an American pop singer who’s not actually an astronaut, and some Russians cosmonauts. They all seem to be getting along fairy well, until, disaster strikes the earth. The moment where they look down to see some bright rim surround the planet, I knew that something big was going to happen.
This was indeed the moment that everyone on planet earth was turned to stone over two million years ago before Zenku managed to break free and try to rebuild humanity. It was awesome not only to witness, but to see what Zenku was doing right before the new stone age came to pass. He found a stone bird that he was analyzing and before he knew it, he was turned to stone like everyone else. It seems that Zenku was about to figure out what was about to happen before it did.
Consider this to be a prequel episode to the series, although, it seems like their will be a part two-episode attachment. In any case, this episode opened the door for many questions. Was its god or aliens that caused this rim of light to appear? Is Zenku really a Jesus like Messiah in the modern stone age that will save humanity? I can’t wait to find out these and many other answers like will Ruri and Chrome get together? Did Magma survive his fiery fall, and will he join Tsukasa? And what the hell happened to Zenku’s high school friends Taiju and Yuzuriha? It’s been far too long since they parted with Zenku, hopefully their still out there, maybe making babies to repopulate the world, you never know.
